Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-11-08.

Ufuq collects no data. There is no analytics and no account.

Your location

Ufuq uses your location to work out prayer times and the qibla, and does that on your iPhone or Apple Watch. The last location is kept on the device so the widgets, the watch complication, Siri and background alerts can use it without asking again. It is never sent to me.

To show the name of your town, Ufuq asks Apple's geocoding service for the place at your coordinates. That request goes to Apple, under Apple's privacy policy. Apart from it, Ufuq makes no network connections.

Your settings

Your calculation method, fine tuning and alert choices are stored on your iPhone, and copied to your paired Apple Watch so both show the same times. I never see them.

Your sound

If you choose your own alert sound, the recording you pick is copied into Ufuq's storage on your iPhone and stays there. Choosing the default sound deletes it.

Alerts and Siri

Prayer alerts are scheduled on your iPhone. Siri questions are answered on the device from your last location.
